Country crooner Walker Hayes has made his way to the No. 1 spot on Billboard‘s Country Digital Song Sales Chart.
Hayes’ latest single, “Fancy Like” has sold over 10,300, up by 934% in the week ending on June 17, according to MRC Data. This marks Hayes’ first-ever No. 1 song on any of the Billboard charts.
“I have my first No. 1 on Billboard with a song that’s completely me, through and through,” Walker shared in a recent update. “That’s the coolest part. It almost seems too easy because it was just me being me, in the song and with my family.”
Hayes first charted in January of 2011 with the song “Pants,” originally released in September of the previous year. It wasn’t until 2018 that Hayes achieved his first top 10 song, “You Broke Up With Me,” which peaked at No. 9 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart.
“Fancy Like” is taken from Hayes’ 5th EP, Country Stuff, which debuted earlier this month.
