Reba McEntire has announced that she will open a dining and entertainment venue in southeastern Oklahoma next year.
The county music superstar plans to convert an old Masonic Temple in downtown Atoka into a multi-use bar, restaurant and concert space and name it Reba’s Place.
She revealed plans to enter the celebrity restaurant business during her Friday show at the Choctaw Grand Theater in Durant, Oklahoma.
“We’re really tickled; we’re very excited about it. It’s going to have great food, family atmosphere, a bandstand in there where we can do a little pickin’ and grinnin’,” McEntire told the audience. “And, we’re hoping by the end of next year, around September 2022 . that we’ll be ready for serving you guys to come up and see us.”
Reba’s Place is formed in partnership with the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma and the City of Atoka. Choctaw Nation chief Gary Batton joined McEntire in making the announcement.
McEntire “is bringing a destination dining and entertainment venue to Atoka,” Oklahoma Governor Matt Pinnell wrote on Facebook.
