Rising country music star Parker McCollum has earned his second No. 1 on Billboard‘s Country Airplay chart with “To Be Loved By You.”
“To Be Loved By You” rose from the 2nd spot to No. 1 position in its 56th week on the chart.
The singer told Billboard, “I had always wondered if country radio would give me a chance. I could never have dreamed they would accept me the way they have. To say I have two No. 1s is beyond anything I could imagine. Thank you.”
Parker also recently performed before a sold out crowd at the famed Rodeo Houston festival this past weekend.
“It’ll be years before I truly look back and realize what happened this week,” says McCollum. “I was nervous that all my hard work and sacrifice wouldn’t be worth it in the long run. Well, after selling out RODEOHOUSTON and having my second #1 I can assure you all – it was damn worth it. Every single last bit of it was worth it.”
Last week, McCollum was named New Male Artist of the Year at the ACM Awards.
McCollum had earned his first-ever No. 1 hit with his Platinum-selling debut single, “Pretty Heart.”
