Miranda Lambert‘s MuttNation Foundation has donated $20,000 to 20 pet rescue shelters.
The foundation will give $1,000 grants to each shelter spread across the country in states including California, Maine, Missouri, Tennessee, Texas, Wisconsin and more.
“Shelter pets – especially the ones that are hardest to get adopted and the people who care for them have always had my heart,” Lambert explains. “Valentine’s Day gives me one more chance to show just how special they all are to me.”
Lambert along with her mother Bev Lambert launched MuttNation in 2009. The organization aims to improve the lives of shelter pets by supporting their adoption, raising spay & neuter initiatives and providing education and awareness-raising tools to the general public about the plight of animals in shelters.
