Fans of Maren Morris can seemingly expect new music from the country music star next year.

Morris teased her fans on social media with a cryptic video message, which hints at something new from her in the new year. Morris captioned the post, “Pedal down, 2022.”

The eight-second snippet shows the back of a car with a California license plate that reads, “Go,” as a woman, probably Morris, walks across the car to the passenger side. The screen then blacks out and displays “2022”.

Mickey Guyton commented “Hallelujah,” on the post, while Charles Kelley of Lady A wrote “Better be a banger.”

Morris’ most recent album, Girl, came out in 2019. She had released a duet with her husband, Ryan Hurd, titled “Chasing After You” earlier in 2021.
