Luke Combs has revealed that he is “putting the finishing touches” on a new album, which comes after a wait of over two years.
“This tour finally closes the long strange chapter of my last album. I’m taking a few weeks off and then we’re putting the finishing touches on LC3,” Combs said in a lengthy post on Instagram, referring to his What You See Is What You Get tour that he completed last month.
“This was the funnest, scariest, most rewarding, most stressful musical experience of my life and I’d do it all over again tomorrow,” the country music superstar said.
He thanked fans who “spent their hard earned money, waited all this time, through all the bullshit, who still came out and filled those seats up every night” as well as his band, crew, management, agents, bus drivers, truck drivers, venue staff, catering, local stage crew, label folks, and sponsors.
Combs also expressed gratitude to his wife Nicole Hocking, his friends and family, adding, “I love you all tremendously. Thank you all for being there for me when I was feeling down or needed to vent and for being there to take shots when we made it through.”
The 31-year-old star, who won the 2021 CMA Entertainer of the Year award, is set to headline his first-ever stadium shows in 2022.
