Gavin Adcock has teamed up with his fall tourmate, Vincent Mason , for a new heartbreak anthem titled, “Almost Gone.”

The pair of rising stars have been creating a unique bond while Mason serves as an opening act for Adcock’s Actin’ Up Again run. When the artists returned to Nashville for a break from the road, they teamed up with some of their favorite songwriting collaborators—Jack Hummel, Jack Rauton, and Chase McDaniel—to create their first joint release.

While they have both gained recognition individually for their electrifying stage presence and unique storytelling skills, Mason and Adcock were able to find harmony the writing session. They pulled elements from each of their signature sounds to create one emotionally raw and vulnerable tune, setting it apart from any heartbreak song that came before it.

“We definitely have a different style but we found common ground on this song,” Mason, an Interscope/UMG Nashville/Music Soup artist/songwriter, shared of his duet partner, Adcock. “He really is such talented writer and singer and after being on tour all year, it was a no brainer to record a song together.”

Together, they tell the story of someone who realizes their relationship is over. Although the love interest hasn’t officially “said goodbye,” deep down, they know there’s no way to repair what’s already broken.

“She said goodbye, but I ain’t heard ‘I love you’ in a minute/ Her tires in the drive, but in a minute now they’ll be spinning/ Ain’t a word we can say that’ll fix this/ We’ve already said it all/ Lord knows that I’m gonna miss this/ But she’s already almost gone,” the country singer delivers among the slow guitar strums on the first verse.

Accepting defeat, they join their Georgia-bred drawls on the whistling chorus and decide to continue their lesson of learning to let go by knocking back a few drinks in an attempt to get ahead of the heartache rearing its head.

They sing, “I could chase her right now, catch her on a slowdown/ She’s already almost gone/ So I’ma chase a high now, knock a couple drinks down/ I’m already almost gone/ There ain’t no coming back when the lines get crossed/ She’s already almost gone/ She’s already almost gone.”

“Almost Gone” comes hot on the heels of several releases from Mason this year that have quickly turned into fan-favorites in his live shows, like “Speak of the Devil,” “Train Of Thought,” “Hell is a Dance Floor,” and more. With each new song, Mason is getting closer to building out his debut record, which he previously told Country Now, will hopefully be dropping in 2025.

“We’re grouping stuff together, and slating stuff for a record, which if it was up to me, it would be next year. So I think everyone is saying next year, hopefully…I kinda tease stuff as I get excited about it so not sure what the singles will be, but yeah,” he teased.

While we wait for this exciting new project, Vincent Mason will finish up the current leg of Gavin Adcock’s Tour next month. Then in 2025, he will switch gears and join Riley Green on the road for select dates of his highly anticipated Damn Country Music Tour.
