Lily Rose is no stranger to turning some of life’s most complicated emotions into a powerful set of lyrics. With her latest release, “Even After Everything,” the rising country star dives deep into the struggle of trying to hold onto relationship, even when all the signs are telling her to run in the opposite direction. This marks Rose’s first new song since her May 2023 EP, Runnin’ Outta Time.
Out Friday, November 15, “Even After Everything” offers an emotional push-and-pull narrative with a rhythmic set of guitar riffs and mesmerizing drumbeats, showcasing a new pop-rock edge side to Rose’s sound.
“AYEEE “Even After Everything” is out!! I’ve been so stoked to give y’all this song and it’s finally here! Y’all go stream it anywhere you listen to music🍾,” she wrote in excitement on Instagram.
Rose serves as a writer on the tune alongside Paul DiGiovanni, Seth Ennis and Andy Albert. With an energy shooting through her vocals, she illustrates the messy, yet relatable situation at hand that centers around the inner battle of not being able to let go of someone who hurt you. While the singer/songwriter knows her love interest should be her “enemy,” her heart is choosing not to listen.
“Even after everything/ We’ve done to each other/ I’d still pick it up if I saw your number/ Forget you put me through the place/ You told me to go/ I swear to God I can’t tell you no/ Even after all the he said, she said/ I don’t, you did/ Truth is I still want you more than anything/ Even after everything/ Even after everything,” Rose delivers on the chorus.
During a recent interview with Country Now, the Georgia native admitted that “Even After Everything” is one of her favorites out of her forthcoming batch of new music. The song has been in high demand ever since Rose began posting snippets to social media and in her live shows, which has allowed fans to learn the words to the compelling chorus before it was even released.
“People love it, so I’m like, let’s keep feeding the masses with this. It’s great, and it’s our show opener. So yeah…I love it.”
She went on to say that the song also served as the perfect opener to her recently wrapped headlining Runnin’ Outta Time Tour.
“I’m a big band Camino fan and just like pop punk and there were a lot of things that we haven’t gotten to tap into that. So this tour is dope because we’re starting with ‘Even After Everything’ and we end with ‘Better Than That’ and it really shows my pop rock side. It’s kind of the bookends. It’s been fun too to see people sing that song back,” she shared.
Now that her 23-stop trek has officially come to an end, Lily Rose says she expects to use her down time to get back into the writing room and round up even more new music for her fans in 2025.
“I’m hopeful that it’s just going to be a lot more heavy releases,” she noted.
