Kelly Clarkson covered Elvis Presley‘s 1972 hit “Burning Love” on Thursday, April 22, for the “Kellyoke” segment on her talk show “The Kelly Clarkson Show.”

The singer, dressed in a black, paid tribute to the rock legend on her show accompanied by her Y’all band members, all in white suits.

“Your kisses lift me higher/ Like a sweet song of a choir/ You light my morning sky/ With burning love,” Clarkson sang, giving her own signature twist to the rock n’ roll song.

“Burning Love” was written by Dennis Linde. The song, which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, became Elvis’ biggest hit single in the U.S. since “Suspicious Minds” in 1969 and his last Top 10 hit.

Clarkson had previously covered Elvis’ 1961 No. 2 hit “Can’t Help Falling in Love” and his 1958 No. 1 hit “Heartbreak Hotel” on “The Kelly Clarkson Show.”
