Country superstar Eric Church has topped the Billboard Artist 100 chart for the second week in a row.
Church became the top musical act in the U.S. thanks to the success of his three new albums, collectively called Heart & Soul. Heart dropped on April 16th, & dropped on the 20th and is available only to members of the artist’s Church Choir fan club, and Soul dropped on April 23rd.
Heart had debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 a week earlier. According to MRC Data, Heart earned 49,000 equivalent album units in the tracking weak, with 40,000 coming from album sales. The record debuted atop the all-genre Top Album Sales chart.
This week, Soul debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 chart with 53,000 equivalent album units, while & bowed at No. 83 with 11,000 units. Soul also debuted at No. 1 on the Top Album Sales chart, replacing Heart, which slipped to No. 9.
