Carrie Underwood has hinted that new music is in the offing following her performance at the Academy of Country Music Awards at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas earlier this week.
The country music superstar spoke to reporters backstage after performing “If I Didn’t Love You” with Jason Aldean. She won the ACM Single of the Year award for the chart-topping duet.
Replying to a question whether fans can expect a new album or tour from her this year, Underwood said, “I mean, I’m always working on something.”
“Obviously we can’t spill too many beans right now, but my fans know what I mean when I say … soon. Actually, they hate it when I use that word, because they’re like, ‘What does that mean?!’ But, [I’ve] been busy, for sure,” she added.
Underwood refused to provide more details of her future plans.
Underwood is set to resume her “REFLECTION: The Las Vegas Residency” later this month.
