Kacey Musgraves is speaking out after being grabbed by a fan at her recent concert in Tampa, Florida.
Video of the interaction went viral on TikTok over the weekend, showing a fan grabbing the Texas native’s arm as she made her way through the crowd during the concert. When the fan grabbed her arm, Musgraves could be seen stopping singing and telling the fan, “What the f—?!”
Moments later, Musgraves was heard saying “Jesus F—ing Christ” into the mic while walking away.

Musgraves addressed the incident on stage the following night at her concert in Hollywood, Florida and later on social media.
“Last night, this Tampa bit**…She kind of ruined it. She kind of ruined it for everybody. I thought I was going to have to get real East Texas on her, take off my earrings. Florida goes hard,” she said from the stage.

Later, Musgraves shared a fan-captured video from TikTok and wrote, “btw this is not okay and they’re lucky I didn’t instinctively swing.”
She also shared a message urging fans to respect artists’ boundaries and promised that behavior like this will not be tolerated at her shows.
“Just because an artist – or any human – is within reach you have zero right to treat them like an object. This was aggressive, was dealt with and will not be tolerated at my shows,” she wrote. “I walk out in the space designated for me to safely move through the crowd so I can connect on a closer lever. It’s fun until someone has to ruin it.”
Kacey Musgraves is currently in the midst of her Deeper Well Tour in support of her latest album of the same name. The tour features a dream-like setting. In a recent interview with her record label, the 36 year old shared that she conceptualizes her tour when in the writing room.
“I’m a really visual person, so when I’m like writing a song, I’m seeing the video, I’m seeing the packaging, I’m seeing stage, and yeah I don’t know I feel like this show is a very cool mix of earth but also technology and it’s kind of giving like Celtic sci-fi dreaminess,” she explained.
The Deeper Well Tour will conclude this week with its final three shows. First, the tour will visit the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina on December 5, then it will close out with back-to-back shows at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on December 6 and 7.
