Loretta Lynn‘s eldest granddaughter, Lynn Massey, has died. The sad news was shared on Saturday, Aug. 24, via the official Instagram and Facebook accounts of the late country music legend. Lynn’s post featured a photo of Massey smiling in front of some vinyl records of her grandmother, along with this touching caption: “Betty Sue’s daughter Lynn Massey, Loretta’s first grandchild, passed away this week after a long and difficult health battle. Our family is so grateful for the prayers and love continually shown to us.” Family, friends, and musicians shared their condolences in the comments, with Margo Price sharing a “🤍” and Jewel writing, “Sending so much love….”  Massey was one of Loretta Lynn’s 26 grandchildren. Massey’s age at the time of her death was not revealed in the post, but multiple outlets have reported that she was 64 years old. (People)
